OPPOSE MAGAZINE

I am editor and co-founder of Oppose, a zine by a bunch of journalists from around the world that looks at the impact of gentrification in London and beyond that's both serious and satirical – developers and hipsters take a bashing. Is gentrification a process of social cleansing? As its name suggests, the zine opposes this idea and the way in which cities are being reshaped to disadvantage poorer and ethnic minority communities.

Issue one (Feb 2018) tackles the impact of this around the world, from Singapore to South America, as well as the rise of ‘trendy’ coffee shops and gentrified food. Issue two (Oct 2018), continues the theme and includes the work of talented contributors – poets, artists, photographers, writers and more.
